Customize your own program with the help of organizations such as Intrax Education Abroad and Westminster affiliations such as, Arcadia, Central College Abroad, IES, etc. (Check for additional listings on Outlook Public Folders/Offices & Services/International Programs)
Attend faculty development programs with Westminster affiliations. For example, check out www.iesabroad.org for programs such as the IES Faculty Development Seminars.
Sign up for exchange programs for college faculty through the International Professor Exchange database at www.uncw.edu/ipe
Participate in Familiarization Trips with Westminster College affiliations such as AustraLearn, Central College Abroad, and IES. Develop familiarity with programs to promote study abroad to our students and connect with organizations which can provide helpful knowledge in regions you are considering for travel programs. Destinations have included Adelaide, Beijing, Dublin, Lima, Milan, New Delhi, and Sydney.
Learn more about the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program at www.fulbrightexchanges.org. Help contribute to mutual understanding between the United States and countries around the world by applying for a semester or a year direct exchange with a counterpart in another country teaching the same subject(s) at the same level.
Consider other models for off-campus programs such as "Service-learning without credit" (Example: Service Trip to the Ukraine with Brad Sheppard & Bob Hansen.) or "Performance Programs Abroad" (Example: Professor Cindy McClain's cruises with musical choral groups.)

Westminster College Off-Campus Faculty-Led Study Excursion Proposals should include the following information:- Name(s) of faculty who will teach the course
- Semester and dates during which course will be offered
- Course description
- Number of credit hours offered
- Syllabus for any preparatory seminar taught during the term prior to the excursion
- General course content and requirements
- Itinerary of general length of time utilized for study tour portion of course (include destinations of travel)
- Range of costs and costs covered in those fees
Your proposal, together with syllabus and comment letter, is due to the Office of International & Off-Campus Programs, #146 Westminster Hall, by the requested deadline, usually due by 1 September (for spring & summer courses) and 1 February (for fall & winter courses).
All information submitted with your proposal will be copied and forwarded to the members of the International & Off-Campus Programs Advisory Committee and to the chair of the Curriculum Committee regarding approval for general education tier requirements and other general education details which may apply.
Members of the International & Off-Campus Programs Advisory Committee will meet to review your completed proposals. The committee will provide feedback and a response in a timely manner so that the appropriate planning activities may continue.
